Civettaio is between the villages of Civitella Marittima and Paganico in Maremma Toscana at 25 km from Grosseto; easily accessible from the freeway Firenze-Siena-Grosseto.

On the freeway E78 take the exit Paganico North.
Follow the direction sign “Monte Amiata”. After about 500m 
you drive in a roundabout and exit at the second for direction “Monte Amiata”.
The road leads past a playground and a bar (on the right side).
About 500m after the bar please turn left direction Siena.
On this road you drive about 2 km through a forest and then reach a bridge under which you turn left and drive through.
Drive up the hill and turn left (on the right side is the bar [closed] La Cerrata).
After driving 500m on the slightly downhill road you’ll arrive at the entrance of “Il Civettaio” at the right side.
